USS Pegasus Concept - Star Trek The Next Generation

A look at the unrealized concept for the USS Pegasus from Star Trek The Next Generation. The Pegasus was that ship fused with a rock. They ended up using an Oberth Class in the episode, but if they had a bit more time and money, we would've gotten a new class of starship. A complete breakdown of the ship(s) seen in the Season 1 finale of Star Trek Picard. Captain Riker commanded that flagship USS Zheng He. It covers all the behind the scenes stuff, a recap of how it was introduced, and the details we didn't see on the show. I hope we get a chance to see more of it in Season 2. It's not mentioned on screen, but producer Michael Chabon says it's an Inquiry Class. ...

Bridge Evolution - USS Enterprise D
It’s hard to know if the audio folks would have fixed it in post-production, but Bujold is harder to hear than anyone else, especially Mulgrew. But no matter what Bujold would have done with the role, Mulgrew was a natural from the start. Perfect fit.
One of the most amazing moments in my life is when Star Trek IV was screened as the STLV convention, and not only were several people in the theater singing along with this song, but half of the entire audience right at that moment shouted out "SCREW YOU!!!" Plus of course the final moments of the film, tears were literally flowing from my eyes from the moment the Enterprise-A first appeared. My goodness, I love this movie so much, no matter how many times I see it <3
The only choice we're given is..."HOW MANY MEGATONS?"
They killed the beautiful monster maroons for this 😟
The tradeoff for the cutouts is more of an in universe/ irl practical design choice. It helps with making the plasma distribution more efficient. Plus less space makes it more maneuverable and it has a lower targeting profile.
7 years late but I totally disagree. The Enterprise E is absolutely beautiful. The Kelvin universe Enterprises are ugly.
We still aren't ready. It was ugly.
That show is a woke propagate machine. Keep your kids away from it.
,Thanks for all your videos ❤🎉🎉 ❤ when ever iam down you video cheer me up, especially since New TREK is not star Trek.... enough 😢😢🎉🎉🎉 thanks 🎉🎉🎉
The new "A" is one ugly ship!
Ugly ship!!
Thank you so much for the size comparison. Not kidding, I needed that.
I just finished season 3 last night so this was a timely suggested video. Great work.
I bet he will grow up alongside superboy eventually blow up metropolis with a nuclear bomb after killing the new superboy and Lois
The timing of “and I say screw you” with the punk flipping them off has always made me giggle like mad.
My momma taught me better than to say bad things about another man's starship. So I will just say... I bet it is very fast
Ugly ass ship. What a waste of rhe gorgeous F
ROCKS
Them there space rocks.
It's funny that they were premiered in engineering, the one place where it would definitely not be allowed for anyone to wear something that isn't full coverage 😂
Wesley Crusher should have put his mother in a pink dress...
Kate Mulgrew managed to radiate natural authority and natural femininity at the same time. She was able to embody the unchallenged leadership of a captain and at the same time compassion and empathy. With the Doctor and Seven of Nine she had great actors at her side. The Borg and especially their queen were fantastic opponents. Voyager will always be at the top of the Star Trek universe.
The nova was suppose to be the enterprise D at first read up people
The cut outs in the back of the chairs are considerate for species with tails.
*One year later;* Thanks Jack Crusher for having run off to visit the Borg Queen, because you were having a emotional crisis. Even though you knew their entire plan somehow rested on kidnapping you to get you to her. We lost nearly all our officers, and anyone who was over 25 Years Human age equivalent - if they were anywhere near any Starfleet personnel under 25 Years Human equivalent. The entire institutional knowledge of Starfleet has been lost, it's mostly _only ensigns left._ This makes the personnel losses of the Dominion War look like a sprained ankle on poorly lit bridge stairs. Starfleet may never fully recover from this and it'll have to build its experience from scratch. Anyway we're obviously short staffed, so here's a fast track to a bridge crew. We need everyone with any experience we can get. Break a leg....
The bridge also has a medical station, for treating all the sprained ankles caused by those steps in the poor lighting.
I'm sharing this
Fantastic video, outstanding job Junkball!!! The Enterprise-F, Odyssey class was incredible! This -G is a f’n turd!!! It’s a beautiful ship but in its era it’s a Frigate, NOT a cruiser!!! Terry Matalas is on drugs and an imbecile!!!
Geneviève Bujold is a wonderful actress, but watching the scene she just doesn't give off the energy of someone in charge of a small office, let alone a star ship. She didn't look at all comfortable with the techno babble required for the Trek universe. Mulgrew just gave off the air of both confident authority and comfort with the material at hand. Even though all of the other actors on the stage are doing and saying the same thing they did before, he confident demeanor seems to have given the others the desire to be more assertive and clear in both their actions and words. For what it's worth, I don't think Geneviève Bujold would have been able to really pull off some of the relatively physical scenes that came in the future. She already looks quite frail in this scene, imagine her dealing with the Year of Hell.
I love u Mr Junkball. Almost as much as the Galaxy class Enterprise.
9:05 that's sorta symbolic of picard being thrust from the conn to the captains chair, if you think about it.
so if you take the history of Picard into account (including his recent series), when he was on that ship from ship from Helm to Captaincy, he was quite the ladies man, with Jack Crusher like the Larry to his Jack (Three's Company FTW). so maybe there was more 3:32 ... they DID steal a shuttle and rip out its transponder so they could run off to Risa because they were in spitting distance. Wasn't til Jack Crusher died that ol Johnny Picard's party ended (and the hair or treatments for keeping the hair, stopped as well). would it have been in bad t? No wonder Riker admires Picard, that man has no belt left from the notches carved into it.
Kate Mulgrew IS Capt. Janeway ! Accept no substitutes !
Lots of flaps covering flaps, cracks and sacks
she lacked authority in her voice.
TAP WATER is my go to meal for parties....everyone loves it...
Its a Buckaroo Class
Bujold "Brace for impact....." Seriously WTAF Like were casually going skiing. Like the ship is getting hit but you sound like a 90s doublemint commercial.
Bujold is lovely but Mulgrew was a better fit for the part.
allready G?
Ps. It's not "rocks" It's Slagle from all the glass being submitted to millions of volts😊
6:00 reminds me of the joke they did in Futurama when Shatner and Nimoy are talking, Shatner saying "Remember that one where i threw my shoe at the enemy?" and Nimoy responds 'You mean Doohan?" then they laugh together. Gave the impression Jimmy was not universally liked among his colleagues.
I confess when it first appeared, I thought some fan had made a fake trailer, and I hated it. But now I quite like it.
I would probably watch this channel just for your voice and the music, so the Star Trek is a bonus!
How can you have the bussard collectors pointed backwards? That makes no sense.
How could you forget the macroscopic tardigrade?
Brilliant segway from 🤦VPL to VPN 👌
Amazing Stuff! So Happy to revisit this.
They were not going to open fire on the portal, they were going to bombard the planet with ordinance. Were you even paying attention?
Kate IS Janeway. I knew from the get-go that she was my Captain, just like when TNG started with Picard. Kates voice, presence, and overall mannerisms lend itself to making her position as Captain even more believable and iconic. Not all Captains are created equal, though, but she's definitely in my top three with Picard and Kirk.
